Affordable Beauty Spotlight: Nourish Organics

Walk into any store, healthy or otherwise, and it is overwhelming the different options of body, hair, and makeup brands. It can be tricky. Even in places where we let our guard down, like at a health food store, we tend to assume all options are safe. That isn’t always the case. But, I would like to introduce you to a few brands that are clean, cruelty free, organic, and readily available in many stores near you. The first: Nourish Organics.

After going through all my clean products I realized how much I actually use this brand. So far I’ve found Nourish Organics at Whole Foods, Sprouts, Target, and Natural Grocers. They were my first official organic body care product. That is fitting because they are the first official certified organic beauty company. They offer USDA Certified Organic, vegan, cruelty free, and gluten free products. They offer a wide range of skin and body care. I’ve reviewed for you a few that I use on a regular basis.

You can see in the picture it isn’t very thick at all.  This oil absorbs well into the skin. I have used this on my face, body, and hair. There is no scent to it. This retails for $19.99 for a 100 ml bottle and has lasted me a long time. I have really enjoyed using  this as a moisturizer and for blending it with essential oils.

This one is fair trade certified.  There is no scent to this one, aside from the light shea butter scent. This has a is very thick consistency. I used this blended with some essential oils on my daughters skin to treat very dry patches and some light eczema. It worked very well and gave a good nourishing barrier to her skin. You get 5.5 ounces in this container and runs about $16.

This one is one I use on a daily basis and I have repurchased at least 3 times. It is their Moisturizing  Organic Face Cleanser. I have dry skin and always previously just used whatever soap I was using on my body, mostly a castile soap bar, which didn’t help with my dry skin. This one has been wonderful and gentle on my skin. It doesn’t get off all my eye makeup but besides that it does a great job of cleaning your skin without stripping it. It comes on like a creamy gel and only very mildly lathers. This product is unscented. It contains watercress, cucumber, aloe, and coconut oil. I used this everyday, sometimes twice. It has lasted me about a month as you don’t need much. I use about a nickel sized amount. This bottle is 6 oz and retails for $15.

This last one is by far my favorite of the products I’ve tried. It is their cream to gel Skin Solve. This scent is sweet orange and rose hip. I love the scent of this product. It has an amazing citrus smell to it that is very enjoyable but not overpowering. This product is interesting because it comes out like a thick solve paste but then as it warms, it melts. Much like how coconut oil melts in your hands as it heats to body temperature. I love using this on my dry hands and I keep this on my all the time. This also absorbs well and doesn’t leave your hands looking shiny or feeling slippery or greasy after a few minutes.

I have enjoyed using this products and they have many more I am looking forward to trying. I noticed my local target started carrying more from their line. They also have body wash, body lotion, deodorant, and a host of many other facial skincare products. The seem to be a great company who has concentrated on good clean ingredients before it started becoming a trend!

    1. I love it! I’ll have to check out that rose butter. Is it a very Rosey smell? That’s not my favorite scent

      1. The “rose” ingredients are actually rose hip seed oil and rose clay, but there could be actual roses in the fragrance. Personally, I don’t like strong floral scents, but I don’t mind this at all. There’s definitely a floral note, but it’s quite herbal as well. I hope that helps!
